“Where are you from?” [Smiles] That’s a difficult question to answer. 
 
I don’t like to talk about my history.
 
There was no road ahead. It’s not about coming here, it’s about having to leave there. Where I came from doesn’t exist anymore, there is nowhere to go back to. 
 
I am just being where I feel belong, it’s neither here nor there.

Everything back there has changed, and I have changed. But I am not the same as the locals, I wonder will I ever be?

I was with my daughter and a man was following us. At one point he got right behind us and said “are you Japanese”, I literally ran away pulling my daughter across the road with me. Well I am not Japanese to start with and why would anyone do such a creepy thing?
 
Would you rather have the superpower to remember everything, or the superpower to forget your past and live fully in the moment?

I will tell my younger self “you are enough” [laughs] and study harder at school!

I discovered more about who I am. 
 
It’s like a fish out of the bowl, you jumped into the sea and that made you do things you didn’t know you could do. I love how the new environment sparked off new possibilities in me!
